Like the Philly run, it’s the middle one .

3/30
S’alright first set, ends with a fun galloping “Deal .”
Set 2 starts of with a ants in your pants, rushed “Touch of Grey>Samson” combo .Then "Terrapin" into …"Women Smarter" . WTF ? . After “drums>space” , the last version of the Beatles toss off “Why Don’t We do it in The Road” , nothing else of note .
On all these shows I recommend the Hessberg/Miller 24 bit ones, even over the SBDs . Garcia’s guitar really blooms on these .

Also think Joe D’amico’s tapes are good .

3/31
The keeper . A really enjoyable first set . Nice versions of “West LA”, “Esau ,” the 2nd Weir “Desolation Row", and the 2nd, and last Weir version of “Roadrunner” .
2nd set is somewhat unusual . It opens with a “Stranger” that really gets a cooking jam at the end then. “Ship of Fools”,and the 2qnd Weir “Handjive “ followed by a GDTRFB with a interesting jam at the the end . Out of “space” a “Comes a Time” . Ahhh . So far so great, but at the end of the song someone threw a bottle onstage that hits Billy’s cymbal . They then dash off a quick “Trucking’/JBG” and split . Nice going asshole where ever you are .
A good show overall .

4/1
A just ok show . first set Cassidy, and Big RR Blues would be my pick . Second set starts strong with a “Shakedown” much like the “Stranger from the night before . The rest of the set is pretty average, to weak . Nice “Box” encore .
I’d recommend all of 3/31, with the highlights being “Stranger”, the jam out of “GDTRFB”, and “Comes a Time” . The other nights, you might want to check out the “Deal” on the 3/30. and the “Shakedown” on 4/1 .

Dudley
I made it to the shows in 1985 at Providence
(with 4/4/85 being my go to tape.
with great first set
and one of the best pre-drums
I Need A Miracle
Crazy Fingers,
Samson & Delilah,
He's Gone
Goin' Down the Road Feeling Bad )

Not sure how things were in 1986
but the police were extremely aggressive in the parking lots
around the arena in 85
.So it was an easy choice to skip these shows in 86.
They have a pretty strong history in this arena especially
PROVIDENCE 73

Thanks for these. Not a year I would go to much. I was 20 years old and still not on the bus yet when these shows occurred. Think I saw Cinderella open for ACDC that year. Wonder what I would have thought of them after one of these show? You do have to admire the ability for them not to have repeated a song over a 3 night span. I don't think any bands were doing that! Not any band I was into then anyway. Peace.
